I’ve made it through day 5 of the Insanity Workout. Day 5 was ‘Pure Cardio’.
The Pure Cardio routine consists of a 5 minute warm up (which was tiring enough) followed by the usual 5 minute stretching routine. Then 15 minutes of cardio with no breaks with exercises such as Heismans, 123s, suicides, frog jumps and more. This was followed by a 5 minute cool down / stretch period.
What did I make of it? Put it this way – I actually celebrated when I got the end of the 15 minutes cardio.
It was very hard work, as always, and I was dripping with sweat afterwards. I was still out of breath an hour after finishing the workout (though this head cold wasn’t helping) and it took even longer for me to cool down.
Looking forward to day 6 tomorrow and then a rest on day 7. Some people would sa you’re crazy to do this workout. I’d say it’s Insanity!
Bring on Day 6 and the Plyometric Cardio Circuit which we have done before on day 2.
